Despite high domestic adoption rates, standard mobile wallet protocols generally lack native interoperability with foreign point-of-sale systems. This technical fragmentation requires alternative payment routing, forcing reliance on legacy international card rails or cash processing systems.
Rail-agnostic routing
The architecture features a rail-agnostic routing engine that dynamically evaluates available partner networks. Transactions are automatically routed to and via the most efficient available network path, including multilateral clearing hubs, bilateral QR network links, or instant payment systems.
Travellers pay with their home wallet in a foreign country
When an international QR code scan is initiated, Borderli intercepts the request at the API gateway layer. It routes the data across authorized networks and returns a verified confirmation to the related party.
Transparency
The infrastructure is feeding direct rates data prior to final transaction authorization, preventing downstream ledger discrepancies.
